Transmission Tuning (TCM)
TCM tuning is included with Stage 3, or it can be added to Stage 1 or Stage 2.
Tested Results (Road + Dyno)
Testing has shown:
- Fuel economy gains of 3–7 MPG (results vary)

- Faster turbo spool
- Sustained EGT under 1400°F under WOT road conditions
Notable Calibration Changes
Our calibrations may include refinements such as:
- Increased pilot injection in certain ranges to reduce engine noise
- Decreased pilot above 2400 RPM
- Decreased post injection to reduce exhaust temperatures
- Increased diesel timing for improved fuel economy/efficiency
- Turbo braking
- Temperature-controlled high idle that lowers with brake application
- Fine-tuned vane control for faster spool and improved drivability
- Torque management adjustments to change engine torque limits
- Injector pulse-width changes to prevent excessive smoke and temperatures
- Vane control changes to quiet idle rumble and reduce warm-up time
- Engine/trans changes designed to reduce crank and bearing failure risk
Important Notes
- On rare occasions, an “oddball” truck may have fewer tune options than listed (typically under 1% of EcoDiesels).
